Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!... And, the man gets on a ladder to see better... ππππͺππΊπ
Oh, --- REPRESSION!!!... To discourage wild passions it was thought good to prudently avoid eating mustard, rich gravies, spicy foods and using tobacco, --- all which were supposed to bring undue excitement. A diet of bland foods such as oatmeal, rice, white bread and milk was thought to be best.
All sorts of measures against becoming titillated were taken by the "decent," such as newlyweds not doing it more than twice a week, and then sloughing off, even more, as the couple's marriage advanced into years. Married women were encouraged to have excuses ready, such as, --- "I have a splitting headache, a terrible stomach ache; I'm so very tired; I really don't have time, right now; I have my 'monthly, sorry,'" which was always an excellent one.
Yes, no wonder prostitution was absolutely everywhere, and well-to-do men regularly kept mistresses...
