I thought Toby Stevens and Ruth Wilson in the 2006 BBC four part T.V. production of "Jane Eyre" were the best portrayals of the characters. Toby Stevens was surely the handsomest and sexiest Mr. Rochester. And, Ruth Wilson was perfect as Jane. Most of the other Janes in movies of "Jane Eyre" were too pretty. Susannah York certainly was. In the novel, Jane was described as plain.
